A free mod that improves Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge
The Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge - Red Alert 20XX Mod has tweaked several of the units in the game, both aesthetically and by the numbers, to make the game fairer and more fun. This game is now more balanced thanks to this mod, and there are no units too.
The Overlord Tank
The Overlord tank is a late-game addition to the Chinese side. It replaces the very ineffective cluster mine super weapon, which therefore levels the skirmish playing field. It's very similar to the apocalypse tank. The OverLord tank is also able to have two variations, one for defense and one for attack.
A hovering APC
Of the many units that were altered, the Armadillo APC is now a hover APC, the Shagohod Tank is now a super-heavy tank, the Scavenger (a previously useless unit) is now faster and more armored. Also, the animations for the Airship crashing is now prettier. Plus, if you kill a bunch of people, preferably with an explosion, and then you bomb the area again, the corpses will fly up into the sky. There is also more blood when people are blown up.
A fairer game
Some may look at this mod as somebody else trying to add more units into the game, but the functions and units that were tweaked were done to make the game fairer. Some units were under-powered or useless before this mod came along.
No more bugs
Fans of this mod will know it has had its fair share of bugs, but they are now gone. The balance issues were also addressed, including the problems with the AI’s predictable navigation.
